Koh-i-noor på udstilling i Demorummet i
Galleri Image

Koh-i-noor in exhibition at The Demo Room at Galleri Image
Opening Friday August 30 – December 20, 2013

It is with the greatest pleasure we hereby can present a series of exhibitions with the artists collaboration Koh-i-noor at The Demo Room at Galleri Image.

Koh-i-noor started in 2004 as an artist-run, non-profit exhibition space in Copenhagen and quickly became an innovative platform for contemporary art. But in early 2013 their permanent address was deliberately passed on to another artist collaboration, which enables Koh-i-noor to challenge new perspectives in regard to their distinct aesthetic perceptions.

Although the context has changed, Koh-i-noor continues their impressive exhibition concepts, which now will be demonstrated at the Demo Room.

Koh-i-noor focuses on creating an experimental space for contomporary art and aims to ensure a critical discourse by constantly evaluating contemporary cultural and social conditions.

This exhibition will present the viewer with an array of contemporary art works via eight different perspectives. Behind Koh-i-noor are eight artist who each will exhibit or curate The Demo Room every fourteenth day until the end of 2013. Each, with their own artistic expression or perspective, will visualize the possibilities of art in following order: Gudrun Hasle, Heidi Hove, Jens Axel Beck, Stine Marie Jacobsen, Jacob Borges, Jesper Carlsen, Sonja Rendtorff and Lea Porsager.
